Recognize your sin
Every one of us has sinned and comes short of God’s holiness.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Understand the consequence
Sin brings death, and we cannot erase that debt by our own works.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Believe what Christ did
Jesus Christ died for sinners and rose again. Salvation is made possible by His sacrifice, not ours.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Repent and believe the gospel
Turn to Christ in faith. Salvation is a real surrender of the heart to the Saviour, not merely empty words.
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Mark 1:15
